censorship and “extreme” websites
Our current obscenity laws make it quite difficult to cover certain websites and dvd’s. 666 Bukkake, produced by German porn director John Thomson, is almost impossible to cover visually. Every photo on the site shows a girl with her mouth open, gulping down pints of urine, college bong keg party style. (hey it’s Germany, that’s what they do for fun over there.) Of course sites of an extreme nature are of most interest for us, so we had to find a way to cover it without showing any of the aforementioned hardcore pee-drinking. Since drawings aren’t covered by any obscenity or 2257 regs we went with the artistic renderings of our developmentally challenged assistant editor John Beers.
